For those of you who don’t think Marc Marquez is superhuman, check out this incredible save during MotoGP testing at Brno.

Today’s MotoGP riders learned in Moto2 to push to the limit the few variables under their control. You can’t fall if you are already down! In photo 1, you see the front going, and Marquez tries to “dig it in” to keep it gripping. No good. In photo 2, the front’s turned even more. Increased lean angle strikes sparks from the pavement. To keep the bike upright enough for good tire contact, Marquez is down on the pavement, his left leg progressively coming across the seat to let him stay low. He’s a sidecar rig with a non-rotating third wheel—his body. More throttle helps turn the bike, and by photo 9 the young Spanish world champion already has the front back. And in photo 11, he wheelies off the corner in normal fashion. Beautiful work!
